Captain Jordan W. Woods


Capt Jordan W. Woods is currently the Education Officer for AFROTC Detachment 855, Brigham Young University (BYU), Provo, Utah. Capt Woods is responsible for recruiting, educating, training, and mentoring of Air Force cadets involved in the ROTC program at BYU. He is responsible for instructing ROTC College freshmen and sophomores on topics such as warfare, leadership, communication, international security studies, and the profession of arms. Capt Wood’s duties ensure each cadet is ready for active duty service as commissioned officers in the United States Air Force.

Captain Woods joined the Air Force in May 2014 when he received his commission through the AFROTC program at Detachment 860, Utah State University. He served 3 years in Air Force District of Washington at Joint Base Andrews, MD. While at JB Andrews, Capt Woods served as OIC of Requirements & Optimization, tasked with overseeing the assessment of more than $5.3B in infrastructure. He also served as Deputy Flight Commander for the Installation Management Flight, responsible for an annual budget of nearly $93M. During this time Capt Woods deployed to Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait where he was responsible for the programming & execution of $37M in construction.
